Browne Lake 2015

It was a very wonderful time up at Browne Lake.
However, my time camping in a tent is numbered.

The girls loved every minute of it. Broccoli asks regularly when can we go back.

Uncle Mike teaching her how to fish.

 She loves the dirt bike.
 I finally got a turn.

The love birds, then the love birds plus one because, she has no boundaries.
This guy celebrated his birthday and Father's Day while we were up there. His favorite place to be.

Chris doing his finest with a dutch oven. We ate very well.
 The birthday boy.
B and her cousins.  She "lubs" them.

Califlower's first time on the bike. At first she ran away when he drove up but then you could see on her face her mind completely change and she ran back to him and said "up".
And never wanted to get off.

 Even Dixie took a ride.
And our favorite photo from the ENTIRE trip.

Another Year Older

 This little lady turned 2.
It was a while ago but I am just catching up.

It was a fun low-key day.
She attended "Explorer Camp".
(A camp our neighbor girls put on to earn some money -
it was for the "bigger" kids but since it was her birthday they let her come)
We then enjoyed shaved ice.

That night we had pink cupcakes, upon her request.

She was afraid of the fire.
I guess we taught that concept a bit too well.

I can't believe it's been two years. I still remember what it was like bringing her home.
Our house was crazy with a two year old and a newborn.
Her first 6 months are a bit of a blur.
I notice I don't nearly have as many pictures of her as her big Sis.
(Or videos) but it's not because I love her any less. I am just busy being her mom.

About our girl:

She is fiesty.
She is sweet.
She loves animals.
She catches on to things very quickly.
She is a snuggler.
She loves her sister and wants to do everything she does.
Being littler frustrates her.
She loves food.
She loves her Mama.
She doesn't eat carbs very well, other than pasta.
Yeah, not a fan of cake, cookies, donuts, or breads.
But does love rice.
 Her favorite food is noodles.
She developed an allergy to dairy. She loves cheese, yogurt and milk.
Luckily, she drinks almond milk just fine.
 Sharing is not her thing.
She is sensitive.
 She loves her "bankie" (Blankie).
She loves being wrapped in it like a baby.
She will say "Bankie Baby".
She asks to be tickled.
She loves, LOVES sweat shirts or "set shirts".
It can be 100 degrees and she asks to wear one.
She cries if I don't let her.
She got sweat shirts for her birthday.
She loves books.
Currently her favorite movie is the "Jungle Book" we have to watch it at least once a day.
She tries really really hard to be independent and she is stubborn.
She loves our neighbor April.

She brings such fire and passion to our family.
I look forward (but can wait) to see how she blossoms.
We love her.

Summer Is In Session!

It's finally here.

We've been doing some light reading (ha!ha!)

Of course, plenty of Hawaiian ice.
I am determined to try 5 new flavors this year. That day the new flavor was lime.

And our favorite summer spot, the reservoir. Closest thing we have to a beach.

So this Happened

The helpers

Here is a close up of the bone Berkeley wore.
I'll be honest we were all a little nervous that this beauty of a ring was in a dog's care for 1 minute but luckily he didn't go for the pond :)
(Sorry, I keep editing the photos to rotate them but every time I upload them on blogger they keep turning back to this).

Details:
We headed to the park before Chris and Carrie got there.
We were meeting on the east side where we were hiding with Berkeley.

Once we saw them we released Berkeley to run to Carrie.
Except he wouldn't run to her.
I had to walk him until he was about 10 ft from her, then he finally ran to her.
It's okay because that was very Berkeleyesque.

Just Dance!

I couldn't wait to start dance classes for this little one, and I was ever so happy that she loved it.
We had our first recital. I have a really hard time doing hair.
Luckily, I live in a neighborhood of teenage girls who love hair, so I recruited Shae.

 Back stage.
Our little family.
She loved every minute of being stage, she wasn't shy in the least. She wouldn't exactly do her dance. She would occasionally do her dance, then she would twirl then wave then try the dance again.

I had every intention of buying her flowers to give her after her performance, but forgot.
luckily, Aunt Aubrey saved the day and brought a rose.

Aubrey only has boys so it was months ago she asked when the recital was scheduled
so she could come do "girly things" ha!
We were so happy the MeMe came out and got to see her dance.
The ride home she zonked right out.

This Little Monkey Bumped Her Head

Late Sunday night/Early morning Monday we had our first ER adventure.
This little monkey fell off the bed and bumped her head.
I have a picture of the actual wound but I will spare you.

Her first set of stitches, 6 of them actually.
Here she is getting numbed up.

And all fixed up.
He was a cute doctor.
The numbing medicine takes 30 minutes to work, so when he checked in he told her,
"Okay, so we have a date in a half an hour."
She found it so funny.

She was a champ.
She sat just like a statue and when it hurt she said, "This hurts a little."
As she put on her bravest face.
Me on the other hand, that's a different story.
Apparently, I can't stomach these things because I just about passed out.
I was instructed to sit down and put my head between my knees and was handed a vomit bag while the tech (who was in there to hold B - but luckily didn't have to) fanned me
and the nurse got me apple juice.
I was thoroughly embarrassed.

Note to self, Brad does hospital duty.
