Guilty Pleasures

I have to admit I think I have more guilty pleasures than one person should have. Here is information about me that you may never have known, because I hid them (or tired).

I don't like country, but I have to admit that Taylor Swift has me singing along to her songs.

One of my favorite past times from the time I was kid was singing and dancing to myself, the thing is I never grew out of it. Especially Lita Ford's "Kiss Me Deadly" it just gets me going.

I love french fries! Any kind really, I love them all! And I prefer them over any vegetable.

This by far is my most embarrassing pleasure, gossip magazines. I don't really think I have to elaborate more on this.

I love fantasy, teen books.

The 80's Hair Bands, especially Poison.

Chinese Buffets.

I loved Saved by the Bell when I was a kid, that Zach Morris was dreamy. Even today I will catch myself pausing on the TBS reruns.

Milli Vanilli, although they were nothing more than lip-syncers I still love the music they pretended to sing.

I think I'm known for looking at my split ends.

When no one is around, I love pledging the floors, putting on a good pair of socks or even pillows are great, and gliding away.

Blog surfing, I love looking at people's blogs even complete strangers.

I love the Disney's Channels original movies.

So now that I shared with you some of my guilty pleasures what are some of yours?

Making History

I'm not a fan of discussing politics, but I still have my opinions, and part of the reason I created the blog was to have a place to store events in my life time. You can think what you want but last night made history.

The Dreaded GRE (A Random Post)

So I finally bit the bullet and registered to take the GRE in October so I can finally apply to grad school. I've been avoiding it, I have to say since graduating it has been wonderful to come home from work and not have to worry about homework. I kept putting school off, but I finally realized I'm running out of time and decided to get on the ball. But I'm nervous; it is an expensive test to bomb, and I'm not good at taking tests. I didn't do too hot on the SATs, but I'm hoping college has at least helped me a little. Here is the thing, you know how they tell you to narrow it down to 2 choices? Well, I can narrow it down to 2, even 1, I just choose the wrong 2. So any advice on the best study materials and methods would be greatly appreciated.

Sydney's Bone To Pick

So tonight me and the dogs spent the evening outside enjoying the weather, and Sydney found a bone she buried a year and a half ago! For Christmas 2006 my mom sent a granddoggie package and in it she put in a raw hide baseball shaped bone. Sydney took the bone and buried it outside, and a year and half later decided it was time to un-bury it, and she didn't let it go. See Sydney is very nice to Dixie, sometimes too nice, if Sydney has something Dixie wants it and she goes right up to Syd and takes it and Sydney just lets her, but not tonight. Syd didn't let Dixie get close; she was not going to give up this prize.

For Nanny

These are pictures of my house so my Nanny can see where Brad and I live. We took these pics in early spring, so everything is still dead. All the houses in our neighborhood look like ours, or they are mirrored to ours.

The above and below pictures are of our front room.

The Simple Pleasures of Life

I completely understand that scene in Cars when Lighting McQueen finished paving the road and all the Cars go crazy driving on it because of it's smoothness. Well, today I had my own Cars moment. After a month of road construction they just repaved our road and I totally wanted to bust some moves, but I restrained myself ... until all the neighbors go to bed.

Date Night

So when I returned from girls camp, Brad planned a date. We went to the botanical gardens at the University of Utah and it was beautiful. Great date idea Brad!

Girls Camp

Last week I had the opportunity to go to Girls Camp, and it was a blast! The girls had a wonderful time. Our theme was "How the Murray West was One" so everything was very western. Our color was green and we were the "Cactus Corral". And a big THANK YOU to my woderful friend Erin who wrote me an email containing the lyrics to all the best girls camp songs!

A Few Things That Make Me Laugh

To go along with my LOL moments I thought of a few things that make me laugh...

Brad - Brad can always make me laugh, he is spontaneous and witty and some how always can think of something on the spot.

Top Gear - This is a British car review show, and anyone who knows me knows I know squat about cars but this show is hilarious. Unfortunately, the last show of the season was tonight.

Guitar Hero - This game rocks and makes for some hilarious moments. This has become a hobby for Brad and I.

Comics - I love the Sunday Funnies. This was a comic I found and found it pretty funny because it reminded me of BYU.

Will Ferrell- The man cracks me up.

The Office - My cheeks are usually aching by the end of a show from the laughter.

Sydney - She always makes me laugh especially when I do stupid things to her, such as this picture. Her intelligence always astounds me.

Dixie - Her spastic behavior can always put a smile on my face.

And this picture- Always sends me to the floor in fits of laughter.
