It has been found!

So two weeks ago yesterday my wallet was stolen while I was at work. I first realized my wallet was gone when I walked to the train to go home. See here is the story from the beginning... At 10:00 (Friday two weeks ago) I read an email from our HR department that advised us to put our annual train passes into our wallets instead of wearing them with our badges, because we are less likely to lose our wallet than our badge. So I took the advice, I removed my train pass and put it in my wallet. At that very second I thought to myself, "Just watch something happen to my wallet now". So as I was about to board the train I wanted to make sure I had my pass and thus my wallet, but I couldn't find it. I went back to my office, and with some wonderful co-workers (who stayed late on Friday!) we searched the whole place. It was no where, that is when I realized someone had to have taken my wallet because I never left that day. Needless, to say it was quite stressful because I had very very personal information in there. All the cards were cancelled, a security fraud alert went out to all the credit agencies, and we set up credit monitoring; very very aggravating.
That Monday I returned to work, we looked through the security camera (which is above my desk) to see any suspucious characters in my desk area. Well, we found one. The guy stuck out like a sore thumb, he was wearing a baseball uniform, and had a big gulp in his hand. He grabbed my wallet and ran out towards the stairwell. So we have a picture of the guy but no one knows who this guy is. After two weeks I finally gave up on finding my wallet. I figured two things: Obviously by the looks of the guy he was only out for cash, which I did not have so he tossed the wallet, and it is now in a landfill, or 2 he kept my information for later use.
So yesterday at work I get a call from my dad, "Julie they found your wallet", I thought to myself, "dad your in PA how do you know they found my wallet". He said the guy that found my wallet called him asking him if he was the dad of Julie Jacobsen, of course he said yes and gave him my phone number. See, in my wallet I keep a little phone directory of people's phone numbers so if I lose my cell phone I can still call someone. On my directory for my dad's number, I have "Dad", so he called him.
I met up with the guy who found my wallet. He was one of the building managers and he was walking down the stairwell when he saw a big gulp cup (remember from the video), he said he picked it up to throw it away but saw that is was unusually heavy, open the cup and there is my wallet. Nothing was taken out, not even by train pass or gift cards. Let's just say I was quite ecstatic! Especially now that I don't need to get a new license!
